The Cerequio vineyard is a cru positioned on a splendid hillside shaped like an amphitheater, exposed to the south and situated between the communes of Barolo and La Morra. The exceptional soil composition and gentle microclimate make Cerequio one of the most prestigious crus in the entire Barolo zone of production.
Deep garnet in colour with brilliant highlights and fine fluidity.
On the nose this barolo is ample, generous, intense and with great complexity and balance, a symphony of sensations suggesting blackcurrant, apricot, cherry, mint and gentian.
All the aromas are confirmed on the palate, in a texture of rich full body, structure of great character, aristocratic tannic presence and an elegant, lingering finish.
Consume after 5 to 6 years; ages well for up to 20 years.
It goes expecially well with robust red meat and mild game dishes, excellent with aged cheeses.
